Joy Hamels Carr, class of 1991, and her family need our help. Her husband Calvin was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in July 2010. He received a bone marrow transplant to save his life in January 2011, but suffered from a complication called Graft vs. Host disease (GVHD) shortly thereafter.
Unable to work, the family lost their health insurance in January 2011. This, coupled with various other obstacles, has depleted their life savings. Please help us spread the word about this deserving family. Read the rest of this entry »
